How To: Setup & Sell a Live Stream

Need help setting up and selling a Live Stream? Follow these simple steps below:

Step 1: Create your Live Stream

Access the Creator Portal Dashboard and click the purple 'Create Content' button.


Select the 'Livestream' option from the available content types.


Step 2: Set Up Live Stream Details

Give your Live Stream a name, description (optional) and update the artwork (optional).


Step 3: Set Pricing

Set a currency in the 'Price' section.


Click 'Add price' to set a new price. Give your price a label, an amount, and a rental duration (if applicable).

NOTE: If this Live Stream will only be available in a Bundle, Course or Subscription, you can leave Pricing blank.

Step 5: Set Live Stream Timing

Adjust your timezone (if needed).


Set the start date and time of the live stream according to the selected timezone.


Set a duration for your live stream. This is just an estimate - if your stream runs over the set duration, your stream will not stop.

NOTE: Live streams cannot exceed 12 hours. If you expect your live stream to last longer, it needs to be split into two sessions. Find out how to set up a multi-session live stream in 'Related Articles' below.

Step 6: Publish or Preview

Change the Status of the content based on if the content is ready to be shared or not.


To preview your content, set the Status to 'Hide'. Save the Video, then click on 'Preview' at the top right hand side.


To Publish your content, if it's ready to share, set the Status to 'Publish', then scroll down and click 'Save'.

Step 7: Share Your Video

At the top right side of your Video set up, click Preview. This will take you to the published Video.


Copy the unique Vidzing URL from the published Video and share this with your audience.

Step 8: Stream Set Up

The 'Stream setup' tab contains the stream key and RTMP URL details which are needed when testing and streaming on the day.
